So Glad Isis could stay with us . . .

One afternoon we went up above Rock Canyon, Isis, Daniel and I.  She really has missed being in such beautiful surroundings.  We had fun talking and just goofing off!

We had planned to hike Timpanogos but our plans were foiled by the over abundant snow fall.  Now we know that hike is best taken in August, not July.  Plan B was going to he High Uintahs, (one of Joseph's favorite places).  It was more fun than I expected!

Yes, the Snow was several feet deep, in some areas!

Daniel had stayed by the lake rather than hiking.  The fishing was so successful where he was that he got tired of fishing and took a nap on a log.

A Very Beautiful Place!!

July went by so fast. . .

Daniel and I love our walks because as we talk he finds money and I look at the beauty that surrounds us, nestled between mountains that in July still had snow that hadn't melted.

We had family time and its more fun with more family!

Its fun to be silly!

Getting sweaty with family is fun!

Just Hanging around with family makes you Happy!

Time with family is like finding a treasure because it is surprisingly rare and valuable!

Family is all about cuddling !

Here is a picture of the Homeys because we are . . .  the remains of our nuclear family.  We love our growing family and we miss them!!

If you know me. . . you know

I LOVE the American Flag!

Some years back my husband bought and installed a pole in our front yard! (this comes with a hilarious story involving Adam, Daniel a 50ft. pole that we exchanged for a 25 ft pole)

Last year, the rope wore out and Daniel made a significant sacrifice.

This was not just super scary, Daniel injured the top of his foot from the friction against the pole (it ripped the skin off the top of his foot).  This year we used a different approach, Rhett climbed the 25ft ladder and Daniel and I held it.  Team Work! I love my flag even at night, I like to hear it waving outside my bedroom windows.

In memory of. . .

Some time ago, I attended the funeral for someone I have long admired and loved.
Susan Monson was an inspiration to me, she showed great FAITH and she possessed many qualities.  Her example has taught me so much.  In attendance at her funeral were a wide array of people.  We had noticed an individual dressed in "his best" though tattered and worn with a paper napkin in the pocket of his suit jacket, this gentleman was there to pay his respects.  By contrast,  as we were leaving the parking lot, we were adjacent to a beautiful white Rolls Royce. Sue's nature to extend herself and be a friend had no bounds.    It is my privileged to be a recipient of her genuine FRIENDSHIP, we weren't close, but she made me feel good when I was in her company.  I would love to be like her, she taught and inspired me.
